Goal: To develop a website for the Michelin French Guide to Paris restaurants to improve the process of discovering French cuisine by creating a user-friendly and informative digital guide, and to increase the flow of guests and simplify the system of discovering restaurants, as well as to expand interest in French gastronomy.
Task: To create a website that provides extensive information on Michelin-rated restaurants in Paris, including menus, reviews, photos and recommendations. Provide an easy search for restaurants based on various criteria such as price, type of cuisine, location and Michelin rating. Provide the ability to make table reservations directly on the site.
The research and planning phase of the project consists of thoroughly researching the audience and competitors, defining goals and key success indicators, developing the structure and functionality of the site, preparing the terms of reference, planning resources and time, and presenting the results to the customer.
This project consists of two main components. The first part is the restaurant guide itself, where users can use filters to find the right establishment. The second part is presented in the form of a longread, which contains Michelin history and interesting facts related to the restaurant world.
On the guide page, you’ll find handy filters to search for restaurants by various criteria, such as region and Michelin rating. Each restaurant is presented with detailed information about its menu and location, as well as a handy embedded map to make it easy for you to find the right place. In addition, you have the option to make an online reservation directly on the site.
Each restaurant on the site has its own separate page with full details of its location, history, menu, opening hours and contact details.
The site menu provides the ability to quickly switch between the two main parts of the resource.
